Just One Look begins with a compelling question: what if one photograph made your entire marriage look unfamiliar? This Polish adaptation of Harlan Coben's novel uses that discovery as the entrance to secrets and a disappearing husband.

Jewelry designer Greta finds an old image of Jacek among people she does not recognize. Soon afterward he vanishes, forcing her to investigate the past and the assumptions on which their relationship rests.

Maria Dębska gives Greta a convincing mixture of vulnerability and determination. Cezary Łukaszewicz supplies the ambiguity Jacek needs, while Piotr Stramowski and Mirosław Zbrojewicz add presence around the central mystery.

The dark palette and careful lighting support a coherent atmosphere. The direction guides us through the story's complications and stays attentive to characters' reactions. Localizing the material in Poland gives this version a distinct setting within Coben's familiar thriller world.

The opening is strong and well paced. The middle loses momentum, and some turns become predictable. A few supporting characters could also use more depth. The performances nevertheless keep the emotional interest alive.

For viewers who enjoy Coben's mixture of family drama and mystery, this is a worthwhile miniseries. It is not without routine moments, but the central performance and atmosphere make the investigation engaging enough to follow.
