Amazon MGM Studios, United Artists and Heyday Films are negotiating to acquire the film rights to A.F. Steadman’s TimeLess, according to an exclusive report from TheWrap. The novel is scheduled for publication in March 2027, as the opening part of a new adult fantasy trilogy.
The story centers on Artemis and an institution whose members operate beyond ordinary chronological limits. The publisher introduces her as a highly trained assassin within a system dedicated to protecting history. Missions across different centuries lead into questions about her own past and the people she has been taught to regard as enemies.
TheWrap names Scott Stuber and Nick Nesbitt as producers for United Artists, alongside Heyday’s David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford. Steadman would executive produce. The report links the project to Heyday’s first-look film arrangement with the studio, giving the prospective adaptation a production framework as well as a literary source.
Steadman is already known for the Skandar books, but TimeLess is aimed at adult readers. Its combination of institutional training and a conflict across history offers a different kind of fantasy scale. The rights are still the subject of negotiations; the report does not identify a director, cast or filming date.
