Two formats lead the slate
Talpa Studios is heading to next week’s Mipcom TV market with new entertainment formats led by Sing With Me and The Golden Elevators, according to Variety. The two projects are at different stages: one has a dated Dutch launch, while the other has broadcaster orders in two countries.
Sing With Me is a music entertainment format developed with Dutch producer IDTV, the company behind The Traitors. Variety reports that it will launch on SBS6 in the Netherlands on November 7.
The Golden Elevators combines general-knowledge questions with social strategy. ITV has ordered the quiz format in the U.K., and SBS6 has ordered it in the Netherlands, where it is expected to air early next year, according to the same report. No U.K. broadcast date is given.
What the broadcaster orders establish
Our takeTalpa’s existing formats include The Floor. For the new slate, the distinction is between a scheduled Netherlands debut for Sing With Me and orders—not a stated U.K. premiere date—for The Golden Elevators. Both give Talpa concrete programmes to bring to Mipcom, without yet establishing how either format will perform on air.
