Hoemonal, Sumukhi Suresh’s first Netflix stand-up special, premieres on October 14. The new announcement brings the comedian’s established stage show to the service.
Suresh wrote the show in 2021 and toured it in and outside India, including the Edinburgh Fringe. Its subjects include dating, body image, hormonal changes and expectations around motherhood. Those are the advertised themes, rather than a verdict on how well the special delivers them.
An earlier Jagriti Theatre listing documents Hoemonal as an English-language stand-up performance. The Netflix premiere follows that life on stage.
