The US schedule starts with Halloween
AMC’s 30th-anniversary FearFest begins October 1, 2026, on AMC and AMC+. The US schedule opens with a Halloween franchise marathon, followed by Insidious on October 2 and Stephen King adaptations on October 3.
The Crypt Keeper is hosting this year’s FearFest, voiced by John Kassir. Greg Nicotero recreated the puppet and directs new hosting segments. AMC announced the host on September 21; the news today is that the October programme is getting underway.
A familiar host, not a new series
There’s an important limit to the comeback: AMC’s announcement covers the Crypt Keeper’s FearFest hosting role. It does not announce a new season of Tales from the Crypt.
Our takeThat distinction makes the anniversary pitch clearer. The familiar character is part of how AMC presents the marathon, while the immediate reason to tune in is the programme beginning today.
