Potential Films has acquired worldwide rights to the restored 1976 Australian drama Caddie, Variety reports. Donald Crombie directed the film, with Helen Morse in the lead.
The National Film and Sound Archive restored it in 4K from the original 35mm negative, with original cinematographer Peter James overseeing the work.
The restoration is screening at Lyon’s Lumière festival and its classic-film market. Cinema releases are planned in Australia and New Zealand; streaming options are still being explored.
