Blade Runner 2099 gets a full trailer ahead of its November premiere

Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer lead the series, which brings all eight episodes to Prime Video on November 25.

Blade Runner 2099 has released its full trailer at New York Comic Con, giving the television continuation another public showcase before its November 25 premiere. Prime Video plans to release all eight episodes together, rather than stretch the season across a weekly schedule. The launch covers more than 240 countries and territories.

The story moves forward fifty years from Blade Runner 2049. Michelle Yeoh plays Olwen, a replicant approaching the end of her life. Hunter Schafer plays Cora, a fugitive who has survived by adopting different identities. Their paths converge around a conspiracy that threatens an already fragile city. It gives the series its own central pairing within the established science-fiction world.

Silka Luisa created the series and serves as showrunner. Ridley Scott, who directed the original film, is an executive producer; Jonathan van Tulleken directed the opening two episodes and also executive produces. Alcon Entertainment and Scott Free Productions are among the companies behind the project. That separates Scott's continuing involvement from a claim that he personally directed the new season.

The NYCC presentation brought Yeoh, Schafer and Luisa together to discuss the production. The full trailer follows the earlier teaser campaign, so this is a new look at an already announced series rather than a newly confirmed continuation. For viewers planning their watchlist, the practical detail is straightforward: the entire first season is scheduled for the same November release day.
